Long-time library Director, Anne Small, to retire
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Anne Small, Director of the Bethlehem Public Library for the past 39 years. Anne’s love of literature and joy in sharing that love with the public has enriched the lives of countless Bethlehem residents over the years. Anne knew her patrons individually and was always thinking about books that they would enjoy. Patrons would often walk into the library to find that Anne had set aside a few titles specifically for them. Anne will be remembered for her cheerful presence and her enthusiastic attention to her patrons, as well as her encyclopedic knowledge of the literary world. We wish Anne all the best in her retirement.
The library will be hosting a farewell reception for Anne later this spring. We will post further details here when they are available. We hope you will be able to join us at that time.
In light of Anne’s coming retirement, the Board of Trustees has begun a search for her replacement. See the job description should you or someone you know be interested in applying.
